My name is Julie Gonçalves. I teach 6th grade Math & Science in North Providence, RI. This will be my 4th year teaching (two of those years as a long-term substitute). I am currently in the MLED cohort as well as the ASTL program at RIC. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my (very Portuguese🙂) family especially my three-year-old nephew, Michael Jr. I also play on a co-ed soccer team with my brother every Sunday. I am very excited to see what happens this semester!

Who am I?

I was a long-term substitute for two years as well so I remember the struggle. Maybe by the end of the semester we can figure out why we look so familiar to one another :D
